Significance:Hazratbal Shrine is a Muslim sanctuary in Hazratbal, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It contains a relic, the Moi-e-Muqqadas, accepted by numerous Muslims of Kashmir to be Muhammad's hair. The name of the hallowed place originates from the Farsi word Hazrat, signifying "regarded", and the Kashmiri word bal, signifying "place".

The Hazratbal Mosque's history dates back to the 17th century when Sadiq Khan, a renowned Subedar of Shahjahan, laid out a garden on the bank of Dal Lake and built an extravagant structure called Ishrat Mahal.
